Burnside Bridgehead: Portland, OR

An Urban Design master plan for a five-block area of the inner east side of Portland. COLAB was part of a three architect team that designed flex work space, commercial lofts and a mix of other uses including residential condominiums. The design exhibited a fresh take on the industrial landscape of east Portland and incorporated the existing street grid to extend the vibrancy of the neighborhood. The design was notable as the only entry in a competition that did not propose the development of big box retail.
