Capital II Tower: Boise, ID
COLAB is the design architect for the second phase of an office development for Downtown Boise. COLAB collaborated with CSHQA, the local architect of record. The original tower was constructed in 1974 and is 14 stories tall. The Urban Renewal master plan allows for a maximum floor area such that both buildings will be approximately the same size and height. The new building is designed to be a contemporary version of the existing building. When complete the development will provide retail, commercial office, and high-end loft living space. The twin building design surrounds an existing urban park and strengthens the urban fabric of the city's core. The building is expected to be LEED certified silver. The building gross area is 135,000 SF.
