The site is a long narrow strip of land adjacent to Jumeirah Beach Road In Dubai, UAE. Our client’s program calls for a mixed-use development with a midsized shopping mall component surrounded by residential and commercial office buildings. The central defining axis of the site has been set to focus on the existing Burj Al Arab hotel which sits about 400 meters away from the site. The form of the buildings represents the rhythm of the wind blown desert sands associated with the Arabian Peninsula and the fluidity and form of the waters of the Arabian Gulf as the two meet at the edge of Dubai.
