Dubai Creekfront Development: Dubai, UAE

The Dubai Creek or Khor Dubai, as it is known by the locals, has been the heart of the city for hundreds of years. With the rapid development of the city and economy of Dubai much of the historic architectural edge of the Creek was lost to modern development. The ruler of Dubai has set out to restore much of this historic fabric and build new modern buildings representing the architectural style of the past. COLAB was commissioned by Dubai Properties to establish a new master plan and design the architecture. The program called for cultural buildings, hotels, retail shops and entertainment buildings to be constructed.
