Oregon College of Art and Craft - Metal Arts Studio Building Portland, OR

COLAB Architecture and Urban Design is working with Charles Rose Architects of Boston to realize an expansion of the school’s Metal Arts curriculum. The project includes the renovation of an existing 3,000sf structure and the addition of approximately 7,000sf of new teaching and fabrication space. Through material and form, the project aims to establish a strong connection to the existing campus while allowing the school to express their current identity. The new environments take advantage of the latest fabrication technology while emphasizing environmental quality and safety. The project is projected to achieve a LEED Silver Certification.
