Oregon College of Art and Craft - Drawing, Painting and Photography Studio + Thesis BuildingsPortland, OR
COLAB Architecture and Urban Design worked with Charles Rose Architects of Boston to provide designs for the first two buildings in phase one of OCAC’s master plan. The first phase includes a 14,000sf studio and photography arts building and a 2,000sf thesis student building. Phase 2 will consist of a 10,000sf Metal Arts Studio building and a 7,000sf campus library. The new buildings will complement the college’s existing structures by celebrated Pacific Northwest architect, John Storrs, by using regional craft and materials in a contemporary manner. The buildings will reflect the latest technologies and approaches to studio arts education while delivering a minimum of a LEED silver Certification.
