Sullivan's Gulch: Portland, OR

Portland Development Commission retained the services of COLAB to design development options for a site that overlooks the Banfield Freeway. Shown is an option for a hotel, rental housing and automobile showroom. The site has great visibility from the Banfield but the site is mostly sloped. By linking three adjacent lots and revealing the base of the building as a showroom to the freeway the solution adds great development value. The building serves as a gateway to the Lloyd District and the Oregon Convention Center.
