ARCHITECTURE STUDIO
COLAB’s history is one grounded in the notion that good design comes from many different perspectives. Designers from four professions originally founded the company in 1994. They were professionals in architecture, urban design, interior design, industrial design and graphics. It was our idea of implementing a multi-discipline approach to problem solving in all of the above-mentioned fields that lead to our diverse portfolio of projects. Architecture is the dominant area of focus in our practice and by its nature is the most disciplined and technical. Our architecture practice has a strong element of urbanity, which comes from founder Mark Engberg’s background in urban design. The architecture studio is the foundation of the firm, providing us with the structure to explore ideas and innovation.
